Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA)

What Is the CSA?

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has a compliance, safety, accountability (CSA) program, with the goal to help drivers and motor carriers improve safety and compliance and ensure everyone gets home safely.

The Pre-employment Screening Program (PSP) is a tool to allow employers to view a driver's five-year crash and three-year inspection history by pulling it from the FMCSA database (with the driver's consent).

You can check your record's accuracy for a $10 fee by going to www.psp.fmcsa.dot.gov, or you can get a free record check via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request at www.fmcsa.dot.gov/foia/foia-requests.
