TLC Drivers Honored by California Trucking Association

Santa Ana, CA (July 29, 2009) -- TLC drivers demonstrated once again that they’re among the best in the business with the announcement today that six of them will be honored by the California Trucking Association as 2009 Drivers of the Year for Q1, based on their “outstanding overall safety records and contributions to community.”

• Henry Sanders – Local Driver of the Month for January in the 1-10 years category

• Joe Castillo – Local Driver of the Month for January in the 11-20 years category

• Douglas Phillips – Line Driver of the Month for February in the 21 or more years category

• Daysha Moore – Local Driver of the Month for January in the 1-10 years category

• Leo Reyes – Local Driver of the Month for the February in the 1-10 years category

• Mardy Ugdale – Local Driver of the Month for March in the 1-10 years category

Recipients were selected by a panel comprised of civic leaders, governmental leaders and members of the law enforcement community, who evaluated the nominees and selected winners in various categories. Honorees are announced after each quarter.
Along with the other winners, TLC Drivers will be presented with their awards at the Southern Driver of the Month banquet, which will be held November 7 at the Pacific Palms Resort Hotel in Industry Hills, CA.
