Steve Vlahos, CTP, Named Vice President of Field Operations

Santa Ana, CA – Dec. 9, 2010 –Steve Vlahos, CTP, has been named Vice President of Field Operations for Centerline. In his new role, Vlahos manages all aspects of the company’s commitment to providing quality, qualified, safe drivers to its trucking customers across the company, including oversight of Centerline’s compliance, safety and driver files.

“Steve has been with Centerline for 17 years, and has been key to the company’s growth,” said Jill Quinn, president. “Over the past few years, he has led the restructuring of our compliance department, developed a formal implementation process for our fully-outsourced Driver Management Service accounts, and made significant enhancements to the company’s safety program.”

Vlahos joined Centerline in January 1993 as customer relations manager. Since then, he has progressively advanced, holding the positions of regional operations manager and general manager. In 2009 he earned his CTP (Certified Transportation Professional) designation. The CTP has given Vlahos deep insight into the safety demands that come with managing a fleet, insights which he can now share with Centerline drivers and customers alike.

Vlahos, a native of Klamath Falls, Oregon, is based at Centerline’s Santa Ana headquarters. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business management and economics from the University of South Oregon. In addition to the CTP designation, Vlahos is a member of the National Private Truck Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers.
